1.4 Released


This update adds a world map feature that lets you see the explored parts of the level you're in, add waypoints, and see travel paths. It is disabled by default (unless you pick very easy/easy difficulty) but you can turn it on without changing the gamemode. There are also new items, related to the world map feature. There is also an additional option called "Advanced map settings" here are additional features that are available with that option:

  • Travel paths. They show how you have moved through a level. You need to have a compass, a pencil and a ruler for them to appear.
  • Chunk grid overlay.
  • Distances to waypoints shown on the map.
  • Adding waypoints anywhere on the map.

Compass - required to have explored areas appear on the map (the map will not update if you don't have it)

Ruler - required to see distances to waypoint/cursor, or for travel paths to be generated.

Map - loads a large area around you to the map.

To add a waypoint in your current position, press ]. Works both in the world map overlay and normal gameplay. You can also do the same by pressing E in the world map overlay.

To open the map, you can press ctrl + E, or click on the minimap, or click the globe button on top of the minimap window.

To focus the world map camera on your current position, press 'home'.

Other changes:

Added/Changed:

  • Improved, rearranged the settings and fixed some bugs in the save menu.
  • Made hidden save tabs (backups) darker when shown with 'show hidden saves' option.
  • Made sandbox save tabs whiter.
  • Very slightly tweaked loot generation (for example, made pencils more common).

Fixed:

  • Fixed a proper spawn position not being selected sometimes, making it possible for the player to be spawned on top of a wall.
  • Fixed some text in various parts of the game looking distorted/uneven.
  • Fixed props in the level 7 starter room regenerating and spawning on top of each other when some chunks were saved before.
  • Fixed large metal shelves  (common on level 2) having a broken hitbox.
