1.1.2 in progress


You may remember this devlog from 2 weeks ago, where I said I discovered an important issue and that I am going to release the update prematurely. This is true, but as you could have noticed, I haven not posted the update yet. That is because I decided to do more bugfixes and QOL improvements for this version, so it will be more than a rushed bugfix with cropped content.

Here are some changes that were made specifically for 1.1.2 (originally planned for 1.2, but not for the 1.1.2 patch):

  • Dropped items and clothes don't despawn, and are saved with the level. You also need to hold J key to pick them up, making it easier to store resources this way.
  • Improvements to the hud and other different UIs/overlays.
  • Line of sight dynamic updating that removes triangles covering walls above the player. Now they only appear when the character is standing to the side/above the wall, so you cannot see through the block.

I am not sure when will I finish this update, as I still have some work to do (including testing to find other bugs to fix, if they exist). I hope to finish it in one week, but I can't promise.
