1.2 - the Survival Update out

1.2 is a large update, which adds many new survival-related mechanics and content. I've worked on this update really hard and it took a while. From this point, I'll try to make smaller updates that can be released faster. Some features may feel slightly out of place, but they'll be able to reach their full potential with future updates.

Health system: Alongside the main hp bar, the character's body is now separated into several bodyparts, each of which can have various injuries. These injuries add different debuffs and affect how fast does the main hp regenerate (or decrease). Injuries can be bandaged to stop bleeding and make them heal faster. Bandages can be disinfected. They also slowly get dirtier and have to be changed.

Hygiene system: All bodyparts and clothes slowly get dirtier over time, or after certain interactions (like sleeping on dirt). You can take a shower and clean yourself by taking off all clothes and standing under an activated shower prop. Clothing can be washed in a washing machine. Both showers and washing machines are a bit rare right now, but I will fix that when remaking levels in future updates. Hygiene mostly doesn't affect the gameplay, and will mostly have a visual impact on the character in the future.

New GUI features: I've implemented new context menus, windows, text screens and popups. They're used in many ways in this update, for example, you can open miniature versions of your inventory/health tabs and keep them on your screen.

Crafting: The crafting system and the crafting menu were improved. A lot of new recipes were added, including furniture.

Items: Many new items were added, including (but not limited to) food and crafting ingredients.

Backpacks: The inventory size was reduced. Backpacks can store other items/clothing inside of them, letting you carry more things with you.

Tables: You can store items on tables now, and they will appear on the table's texture.

Difficulty: Instead of simply having a bunch of sliders, now you have to pick a difficulty. Several additional options are still available, but you have to use the custom gamemode for more customizability. Difficulties are displayed as SD classes.

Drops: Props drop items based on their material, like wooden/plastic scraps. Some props have unique drops, which can be used for crafting.

...

A keybind menu was added.

The player now moves more smoothly, and can slide on the floor. The player characters and the entities are now pushed when attacked.

Trait builds can be shared by copying/inserting a code using buttons in the trait selection menu.

Drones were re-added and improved.

A new rare entity - lighters. (Based on fandom wiki's Entity 36).

Item categories that show up in info menus instead of item types (which were an internal attribute that wasn't always useful).

Remade the trait selection menu, and added many new traits.

New gamesave options, some are pre-set based on difficulty, and most can be changed in the custom gamemode settings. For example, you can toggle entity healthbars which only show up on very easy/easy difficulties by default.

Items in the inventory tab (not crates or tables, though) are now moved by dragging the icons.

Changed the interface for moving/placing props.

Changed the energy bars, now instead of instantly boosting your stamina, they add an effect that increases your stamina regen, but takes some time to start working.

Changed internal code for item spawning, and adjusted some spawning probabilities.

Fixed some doors in the hub having broken RNG.

Adjusted/fixed hitboxes for some props.

Jumping while running makes you go faster, but spends stamina.

Added music in the main menu.

The death screen was expanded to show more information.

Sleeping sets your respawn difficulty on normal difficulty or lower.

Dying leaves an actual blood puddle instead of making the tile red.

Fixed text input boxes causing the game to crash if you tried to Ctrl+V with an empty clipboard.

And many other minor undocumented changes and improvements.
